Privacy
Updated 28 October 2026.
Linlithgow Palace is a visitor-information website. It collects no email subscriptions or booking details. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, store messages for up to 90 days and use them to handle your enquiry. Our hosting provider processes the form and its spam checks. A short-lived record of the sending IP helps block spam.
Local search and preferences
Guide search runs against a search index served from this site. Fonts and images are also hosted locally. The visitor map is a schematic; it does not request your location or load outside map tiles.
If you make a cookie choice, your browser stores that choice on this site. You can change it with the Privacy choices button in the footer. The first-party outbound-click beacon (/api/click, sent by clicks.js) starts only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. It records the offer and originating page, respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and stays off when you decline.
When you open another website
Source links open the publisher’s website when you choose to follow them. Its privacy policy applies there. No external booking widget is embedded on these pages.
Following an affiliate link sends referral and request information to our affiliate partners and link-redirect provider. Those services may use cookies to attribute a purchase. Their privacy policies apply to their processing.
Our cookieless analytics provider
We use our cookieless analytics provider for page-view and performance data; it sets no cookies. Analytics load only after consent in the UK and European Economic Area and do not load when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics, provided by Google, sets cookies and measures pages viewed, outbound link clicks, and approximate location and device type. In the EU, EEA and UK it loads only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Elsewhere it loads without a banner, but in every region it stays off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. To withdraw consent, use the Privacy choices button in the footer.
Hosting requests
Our hosting provider Workers hosts this guide and keeps standard request logs, which may include network information such as an IP address for delivery and security. This guide does not publish a visitor profile, sell visitor data or treat an outbound click as a completed purchase.
Your choices
Browse the guide without subscribing or creating an account. Optional tracking can remain declined. For booking and attraction enquiries, use the source routes described on the contact page.
Google Analytics uses cookie identifiers to process usage data. See how Google uses information from partner sites.
IP-based spam-limit records expire within 25 hours.
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Use our contact page to exercise these rights or raise a privacy question.
Delivered contact messages remain in our mailbox until deleted. You can request deletion through our contact page.
